couldn't stop :: had to keep going

after finishing the quilt top the other day, I wasn't ready to stop so I put a few of the little scraps together and made a dolls quilt for little miss goLdChaLK

a few of my favourite Liberty's - I love the light blue one with the tiny birds and the tiny leaves - so sweet.  I have a little treasured piece of it and it's in a couple of my quilts.  Every now and then you come across some fabric that you just fall in love with, you don't just like it or think it's ok - you love it.

pick your own berries

We went berry picking yesterday at Blue Hills Berries & Cherries, it is so lovely out there at Silvan, we came home with 2 kilos of berries, a mix of strawberries, blackberries & raspberries - all very delicious.  The order was for smoothies when we came home and I whipped up a berry cake which ended up being dinner...

quilt top is done

no dilly dallying going on here, the top is finished. I have enjoyed putting the top together so much - there were only one or two fabrics from the original pile that didn't make it in...

things are moving along

after having a couple of days off from the office job, this is the progress so far - I'd say 1/3 of the top is done - immense joy & great pleasure putting this quilt top together.  Just as well you can't see the table and surrounds,they're a little messy - one day I'll have a sewing room (in my dreams :))

a new project :: do what you like qs quilt

I've been given a pile of fabric by my lovely friend Kylie to make a queen size quilt for her, the brief is as follows:-

* do what you like, squares & rectangles - no triangles though (agreed)

Yesterday a start was made trimming up some of the smaller treasured pieces, we'll see what today brings.
